It runs as the signed-in person, so people only ever see directory data they already have access to.
Where your data goes
Directory data is read in the browser and never stored or sent to us.
To check your licence, the web part sends your tenant ID to our licensing service, hosted in Microsoft Azure UK South. No user content or personal data is included.

What’s included in the price?
A licence for your whole tenant, updates, fixes for SharePoint and Graph API changes, and email support during UK business hours. There is no setup fee.
Where does the directory data come from?
Straight from Entra ID (Azure AD) via Microsoft Graph. Update someone’s job title, office or manager there and the directory reflects it - nothing to maintain separately.
Can we hide service accounts or leavers?
Yes. Site owners can exclude accounts from the property pane, so only real people appear.
How does the free trial work?
The trial runs for 30 days on Microsoft Marketplace and covers the Starter Bundle, so you can try Employee Directory alongside four other web parts. If you don’t buy a licence, the web parts stop working after a short grace period.
