How is this different from the Search web part?
Search (£249/yr) refines SharePoint search on a single site or hub. Unified Search is our premium product: one box covering files, mail, calendar, people, sites and policies across your whole tenant, plus pinned answers, refiners, previews and sharing.
Is it included in the Starter or Complete Bundle?
No - Unified Search is a standalone product from £999 a year for up to 500 users. The bundles cover our 18 standard web parts.
Can users see things they shouldn't?
No. Every query runs as the signed-in user via Microsoft Graph delegated permissions, so results are always trimmed to what that person can already open. Queries and documents never leave your Microsoft 365 tenant.
