We collect only what we need to answer your enquiries, sell licences and deliver work. Our SharePoint apps run inside your own Microsoft 365 tenant - your organisation’s data never comes to us. We don’t sell personal data to anyone.
AJ1801 Ltd, trading as ThePoint, is the data controller for personal data collected through the-point.uk and in the course of selling SharePoint app licences and delivering consultancy services. Enquiries and calls: your name, work email, company and anything you include in a message or discuss on a call booked through Calendly.
Customers: billing contact details, invoicing records, licence and support history.
Website: only the technical data strictly necessary to serve the site securely, such as server logs. We do not use analytics or tracking cookies.
Our SharePoint apps run entirely inside your organisation’s Microsoft 365 tenant. Content, documents, profiles and any data the apps display stay in your tenant and are never transmitted to us. Microsoft Graph permissions are requested transparently and approved by your administrators.
To respond to enquiries and provide quotes (legitimate interests); to deliver licences, support and consultancy under contract; to invoice and keep accounting records (legal obligation); and, with consent, to send occasional product updates you can opt out of at any time.
Service providers who help us run the business: Microsoft 365 (email and files), Calendly (bookings), Stripe (payment processing) and our accountants for statutory reporting. Payments made through Stripe are also governed by Stripe’s own privacy terms. We never sell personal data.
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, transfers rely on UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
Enquiry records: up to 2 years after last contact. Customer and licensing records: the licence term plus 6 years for tax and legal purposes.
Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@the-point.uk and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
The site uses only essential cookies required for it to function. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so no cookie consent banner is required. You can block cookies via your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work correctly.
