Do you support K2 Five and K2 blackpearl as well as K2 Cloud?

Yes. We have experience across all K2 versions - blackpearl, K2 Five and K2 Cloud. Our primary focus is K2 Cloud as that's where Nintex is investing, but we can support and maintain legacy on-premises installations and help plan migrations to the cloud.

Should we stay on K2 or move to Power Platform?

It depends on your situation. If your K2 solutions are working well and your team is comfortable with the platform, staying on K2 often makes more sense than a costly re-platform. If you're facing licence renewal decisions, growing frustrated with K2 limitations, or want to consolidate on Microsoft 365, a phased migration to Power Platform may be the right move. We work with both platforms and can give you an honest, vendor-neutral recommendation.

How does retained K2 support work?

We agree a set number of hours per month - typically 8-20 hours depending on your environment size and complexity. Those hours flex between reactive support (fixing issues) and proactive development (new workflows, improvements, integrations). You get a dedicated K2 specialist without the cost of a full-time hire. Unused hours don't roll over, but we right-size the retainer regularly based on actual usage.

Can you take over support from our previous K2 developer?

Yes - this is one of the most common scenarios we handle. We start with a thorough review of your K2 environment to understand what's been built, how it's structured, and where any issues are. We document everything and build a knowledge base so support isn't dependent on any one person's memory. There's usually a 2-4 week handover period before we're fully up to speed.

Can K2 Cloud integrate with our other systems?

Yes. K2 Cloud connects to external systems via service brokers - including REST APIs, SOAP services, SQL databases, SharePoint, Active Directory and more. We build custom service broker integrations for systems that don't have out-of-the-box support. If a system has an API, K2 can connect to it.

How long does it take to build a K2 workflow?

A simple approval workflow with SmartForm typically takes 3-5 days. Complex multi-stage processes with integrations, conditional routing and multiple SmartForms take 2-4 weeks. We'll give you a realistic timeline after understanding your requirements in the discovery session.

What happens if we decide to migrate away from K2?

We help you plan the transition. K2 workflows can't be directly migrated to Power Platform - they need rebuilding. We assess each workflow, prioritise based on business criticality, and build the Power Platform equivalents. We typically recommend a phased approach - migrating one process at a time while keeping K2 running for everything else. This avoids the risk of a big-bang migration.
