The problem

Every SharePoint site has its own navigation, so people get lost as soon as they leave the home page. Hub menus are limited, look different on every site, and are hard to use with a keyboard.

The solution

Navigation adds one branded mega menu to the top of every site. Editors manage it from one list, audiences decide who sees each link, and SharePoint’s own hub bar and site header can be hidden underneath it.

Try it · every option

Set it up the way you want

Change the theme, bar height, icons and what shows in the bar on the left. Open a menu with the mouse or keyboard, press Ctrl K to search, or preview as a manager to see audiences at work.

Sample menu. On your site, menus, links and audiences come from one list on your home site.

What you get

One menu, everywhere

Mega menus

Columns with headings, icons, descriptions and New badges, plus a featured card and footer links in each menu.

On every site

Added once as an extension, it shows on every site in your tenant, with the same menu and branding.

Audiences

Show a menu, heading or link only to the Entra ID or SharePoint groups that need it.

Search, notifications and chat

Microsoft Search with Ctrl K, Planner tasks and notices, and Teams chat, right in the bar.

WCAG 2.2 AA compliant

Menus open with Enter, Space and the arrow keys, Escape closes them, focus is always visible, and there’s a skip link to the page content.

App launcher

Microsoft 365 apps, each person’s own links and the sites they follow, in one drawer.

Your brand

Logo for light and dark bars, six themes or your site colours, with text colours picked to keep 4.5:1 contrast.

Hide SharePoint navigation

Hide the hub bar, the site header or both under the menu. Page commands like Edit and Publish always stay.

Works on mobile

On small screens the menus move into a drawer with expandable sections.

Security and permissions

Everything your admin needs to approve the install.

Permissions requested

Read-only Microsoft Graph access, approved once by your admin in the SharePoint admin centre, for the search box, notifications, followed sites and audience groups.

Every request runs as the signed-in person, so people only ever see what they can already access.

Where your data goes

Navigation content stays inside your Microsoft 365 tenant and is never sent to us. To check your licence, the web part sends your tenant ID to our licensing service, hosted in Microsoft Azure UK South. No user content or personal data is included.

How it’s deployed

A standard SPFx extension, uploaded by your admin to your own tenant app catalogue and switched on once for the sites you choose. You can remove it at any time.

Questions about Navigation

How is it added to our sites?

As a SharePoint Framework extension, deployed once from your app catalogue. It then shows at the top of every site you choose.

Where is the menu stored?

In a Global Navigation list on your home site. Editors add menus, headings and links, and reorder them by dragging or with the arrow buttons.

Do audiences stop people seeing pages?

No. Audiences decide who sees a link in the menu. They’re presentation only, so keep using SharePoint permissions to secure the pages themselves.

Is it accessible?

Yes. Navigation is WCAG 2.2 AA compliant. Every menu works with the keyboard and screen readers, Escape closes menus and returns focus, colours keep 4.5:1 contrast, and there’s a skip link to the page content.

What happens to SharePoint’s own navigation?

You choose. Keep it, or hide the hub bar, the site header or both. Site owners can still see it if you want them to, and page commands always stay.

Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?

Yes. Email us with your organisation’s details and size, and we’ll send a quote and invoice.
