Security and permissions

Permissions requested
Microsoft Graph permissions, approved once by your admin in the SharePoint admin centre:
- GroupMember.Read.All (delegated) to work out which policies each person must acknowledge from their Entra ID groups
Acknowledgement records are stored in SharePoint lists on your site, and every request runs as the signed-in person.
Where your data goes
Acknowledgements content stays inside your Microsoft 365 tenant and is never sent to us. To check your licence, the web part sends your tenant ID to our licensing service, hosted in Microsoft Azure UK South. No user content or personal data is included.

Questions about Acknowledgements
Where are acknowledgements stored?
In SharePoint lists on your site, inside your Microsoft 365 tenant. Each record has the person, the date, the policy and the version.
Can we prove who acknowledged which version?
Yes. Export a CSV for any policy or for all of them, with names, dates and versions, ready for an audit.
What happens when a policy changes?
Publish a new version and everyone in the audience is asked to acknowledge it again. The card shows it as Updated, with a short summary of what changed.
Is it accessible?
Yes. Acknowledgements is WCAG 2.2 AA compliant. The policy, quick check and confirm box all work with the keyboard and screen readers, focus stays inside the policy window, and the reason the Acknowledge button is unavailable is always shown.
Do new starters get the policies too?
Yes. People who join an audience are assigned its policies, with a due date counted from the day they join.
