The problem

Company history ends up as a wall of text on the About page, and processes live in long Word documents with numbered lists. People skim, miss a step, and email someone to ask what happens next.

The solution

Timeline turns dates into a story people want to scroll, with images, years and eras. Process mode shows one step at a time, with who does it, how long it takes and what you will need.

Try it · every option

Two modes, six layouts

Choose Timeline or Process on the left, then a layout and what to show, as you would in the web part’s property pane. Try the era filter, then switch to Process.

Sample content. On your site, add your own dates, steps, images and links.

What you get

Show what happened, and what happens next

Timeline mode

Company history, project milestones or a year in review, in date order with images, years and eras.

Process mode

How-to guides and approvals, one step at a time, with who does it, how long it takes and what you will need.

Six layouts

Alternating, single line, horizontal and compact timelines, and stepper or vertical processes.

WCAG 2.2 AA compliant

Full keyboard support including arrow keys in the stepper, visible focus, steps announced to screen readers, and animation that respects reduced motion.

Filter by era

Group a long history into eras such as Founding, Growth and Today, so readers can jump to the part they want.

Links on every step

Point each step to the form, policy or system people need, right where they need it.

Works in any section

Alternating timelines switch to a single line, and the stepper shrinks to numbers, in narrow columns and on mobile.

Styled to fit your site

Border, shadow or plain cards, images on or off, and your accent colour.

Security and permissions

Everything your admin needs to approve the install.

Permissions

Timeline runs with each signed-in person’s own SharePoint permissions and needs no extra Microsoft Graph access. Content is stored in the property pane or a SharePoint list on your site.

Where your data goes

Timeline content stays inside your Microsoft 365 tenant and is never sent to us. To check your licence, the web part sends your tenant ID to our licensing service, hosted in Microsoft Azure UK South. No user content or personal data is included.

How it’s deployed

A standard SPFx package, uploaded by your admin to your own tenant app catalogue. It runs inside SharePoint like any Microsoft web part, and you can remove it at any time.

Questions about Timeline

What is the difference between the two modes?

Timeline tells a story in date order, such as your company history or a project’s milestones. Process shows steps to follow, such as raising a purchase order or onboarding a new starter.

Where is the content stored?

In the web part’s property pane or a SharePoint list, so editors add dates, steps, images and links without touching code.

Is it accessible?

Yes. Timeline is WCAG 2.2 AA compliant. Every step, filter and button works with the keyboard, focus is always visible, the current step is announced to screen readers, and animation is turned off for readers who ask for reduced motion.

Can I use it more than once on a page?

Yes. Each instance has its own mode, layout and content, so one page can show your history and a process side by side.

Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?

Yes. Email us with your organisation’s details and size, and we’ll send a quote and invoice.
