The problem

Long pages bury the detail people came for. Editors stack sections one after another, readers scroll past what they need, and SharePoint has no built-in way to group content into tabs.

The solution

Content Tabs groups related content into tabs on one page. Choose underline, pills, segmented, tiles, steps or vertical tabs, set the accent to match your site, and share a link that opens straight to the right tab.

Try it · every option

Six styles, one web part

Pick a tab style, width, alignment and accent on the left, as you would in the web part’s property pane. Switch tabs with the mouse, or with the arrow keys after tabbing in.

Sample content. On your site, each tab holds your own text, lists, images and links.

What you get

More on the page, less scrolling

Six tab styles

Underline, pills, segmented, tiles with a subtitle, numbered steps, or vertical tabs beside the content.

Link to any tab

Copy a link that opens the page on the right tab, ready for an email, a Teams chat or a news post.

Previous and Next

Step through tabs in order with a position counter, ideal for levels, stages or a short guide.

Match your site

Use your site theme colour or pick an accent, with icons on tabs and left or centred alignment.

WCAG 2.2 AA compliant

Arrow keys, Home and End move between tabs, focus is always visible, and every tab and panel is labelled for screen readers.

Regular or full width

Sit in a column, or draw an edge-to-edge band in a full-width section.

Works on mobile

Tabs scroll sideways on small screens, and vertical tabs move above the content.

Rich content

Cards, lists, text, images and links in each tab, edited right on the page.

Use it more than once

Each instance has its own style and tabs, so one page can hold several sets.

Security and permissions

Everything your admin needs to approve the install.

Permissions

Content Tabs is configured in the web part’s property pane and needs no extra Microsoft Graph access. Tab content is stored on the SharePoint page.

Where your data goes

Content Tabs content stays inside your Microsoft 365 tenant and is never sent to us. To check your licence, the web part sends your tenant ID to our licensing service, hosted in Microsoft Azure UK South. No user content or personal data is included.

How it’s deployed

A standard SPFx package, uploaded by your admin to your own tenant app catalogue. It runs inside SharePoint like any Microsoft web part, and you can remove it at any time.

Questions about Content Tabs

How do editors add content to a tab?

Right on the page. Add tabs in the property pane, then type into each tab as you would any SharePoint text, with lists, images and links.

Can I link straight to one tab?

Yes. Copy link to this tab gives a link that opens the page on that tab, so you can point people to exactly what they need.

Which style should I use?

Underline and pills suit short labels, tiles add a subtitle, steps show an order, and vertical tabs work well for longer lists of topics.

Is it accessible?

Yes. Content Tabs is WCAG 2.2 AA compliant. Tabs follow the standard keyboard pattern with arrow keys, Home and End, focus is always visible, and tab and panel names are announced to screen readers.

Does search find content inside tabs?

Yes. All tab content is on the page, so SharePoint search finds it whichever tab it is in.

Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?

Yes. Email us with your organisation’s details and size, and we’ll send a quote and invoice.
