New starters sit through meetings full of acronyms nobody explains. Glossaries live in old Word documents or a SharePoint list no one owns, so definitions drift out of date and people stop trusting them.
The Glossary web part gives every term an owner, a review date and related terms, in five layouts from A to Z to flashcards. Readers suggest new terms and report problems, and the highlighter explains terms right where people read them.
Pick a layout and what to show on the left, as you would in the web part’s property pane. Try searching for “capex”, press / to jump to search, or suggest a new term.
A sample of terms from A to D. On your site, add your own terms, owners and categories.
Turn on the highlighter and glossary terms are marked on news posts and pages across your site. Hover, tap or tab to a term to see what it means, without leaving the page.
